Satya Nadella

• Satya Nadella is the present CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Microsoft Company.

• He was born in 1967 in Hyderabad, India. His father was a civil servant in the Indian Administrative Service.

• Nadella passed the bachelor of engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Manipal Institute of Technology in 1987. After Graduation he went to America to study MS degree in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Nadella get the MS degree in 1990 from the university and then master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

• He started his career at Sun Microsystem as a member of technology staff.

• Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992, and led Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS).

• Nadella was executive vice president of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group. In this role he led the transformation to the cloud infrastructure and services business, which outperformed the market and took share from competition.

• Previously, Nadella led R&D for the Online Services Division and was vice president of the Microsoft Business Division.

• He was appointed as CEO on February 4, 2014, succeeding Steve Ballmer. He is the third CEO of Microsoft.

• He is now a residence of Bellevue, Washington. Nadella had a hobby of Cricket and poetry.
