Andhra Pradesh is a state located in the southeastern coast of India. It is the seventh largest state in the country in terms of area and the tenth most populous state. The capital and largest city of Andhra Pradesh is Amaravati, which is located in the Guntur district. The state was formed in 1956 as Andhra State and was later renamed as Andhra Pradesh in 1963. It is known for its rich cultural heritage and history, as well as for its famous temples such as the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati and the Srikalahasti Temple.

The state is also known for its agricultural and aquaculture industries. Andhra Pradesh is bordered by Telangana to the north, Odisha to the northeast, Chhattisgarh to the east, and Karnataka to the west. The Bay of Bengal is located to the east of Andhra Pradesh. It also has its own language known as Telugu which is spoken by majority of its population.
