• India successfully tests nuclear-capable 3,500 km range ballistic missile, launched from INS Arighaat submarine.
• Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, JMM leader Hemant Soren sworn-in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand today.
• The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors has unanimously elected Masato Kanda as ADB’s 11th President.

• Nation is observing Constitution Day today. Government has announced year-long celebrations beginning today to commemorate the 75th year of the adoption of the Constitution of India.
• The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has given its approval for the PAN 2.0 Project of the Income Tax Department with a financial outlay of ₹1,435 crore. PAN 2.0 is an advanced version of the current PAN system, using technology to make registration easier and more accessible for taxpayers.
• National Milk Day is being celebrated today to honour the 103rd birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, fondly remembered as the Father of the White Revolution in India.
• History was made on Day 2 of the IPL 2025 Auction as the 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to get a contract in the league’s history yesterday.

• In Maharashtra, the Mahayuti coalition of the BJP, Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party was leading in at least 236 seats, with the BJP itself having the upper hand on 133 seats. In Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren's JMM-led alliance appears set for another consecutive term as it was leading in at least 56 out of 81 assembly seats.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honoured with Dominica's highest award on Wednesday in recognition of his support during the Covud-19 crisis and his efforts to strengthen India-Dominica ties.

• G20 leaders have adopted the Rio de Janeiro Declaration at its 19th Summit in the Brazilian city. They have called for action on Climate Change and wars in Ukraine and West Asia.
• Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully launched its most sophisticated communications satellite GSAT 20 on board SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral in the USA.
• Denmark made history at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant as 21-year-old Victoria Kjaer was crowned the winner. This marked Denmark's first-ever victory in the coveted beauty pageant. Mexico's María Fernanda Beltrán finished as the first runner-up, while Nigeria's Cnidimma Adetshina secured the second runner-up position.

• Haryana fast bowler Anshul Kamboj became only the third cricketer to take all ten wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy. He bagged 10 for 49 against Kerala, and became the sixth Indian to achieve the feat in first-class cricket. Two other bowlers had taken all ten wickets in an innings in the Ranji Trophy previously: Bengal's Premangsu Chatterjee in 1956-57 and Rajasthan's Pradeep Sunderam in 1985-86. Overall, Kamboj is the sixth Indian to achieve this feat in first-class cricket after legspinners Subhash Gupte and Anil Kumble, and Odisha seamer Debasis Mohanty.
• India has successfully conducted a flight trial of a long-range hypersonic missile, marking a significant boost to the country's military readiness, This missile is designed to carry various payloads for ranges greater than 1500km for the armed forces.
