IBPS Clerk Bank Exams

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body which conduct IBPS Clerk exam for organisations like Allahabad Bank,Canara Bank,Indian Bank,Syndicate Bank,Andhra Bank,Central Bank of India,Indian Overseas Bank,UCO Bank,Bank of Baroda,Corporation Bank,Oriental Bank of Commerce,Union Bank of India,Bank of India, Dena Bank,Punjab National Bank,United Bank of India,Bank of Maharashtra,IDBI Bank,Punjab & Sind Bank,Vijaya Bank. IBPS has received mandate from the organisations to conduct the recruitment process once a year. It is an online examination conducted in two stages - Preliminary and Main. Interviews are conducted by the participating organisations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each state or Union Territories. Selected candidates appointed to one of the Participating Organisations keeping in view the spirit of Govt. Guidelines on reservation policy, administrative convenience, etc.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Nationality / Citizenship:

A candidate must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. Also a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India are also eligible to apply if some prerequisite conditions are fulfilled.

Age:

Candidate should not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on stipulated date.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidate should have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Also the candidate should have computer knowledge with Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language.

CWE – ONLINE EXAMINATIONS:

Preliminary Examination:

The examination is of 1 hour duration and has 100 questions. It has three sections as given below:

 Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

Main Examination:

This is also an online exam with exam duration of 160 minutes. In the main exam, the English Language is available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

 Also for each question, for every wrong answer by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
