30th July, Current Affairs:

• Assam government has released the second and final draft of the state's National Register of Citizens (NRC). Around 40 lakhs people have been left out from the list. The list incorporates names of 2.89 crore people out of the 3.29 crore applicants.
• West Indies batsman Chris Gayle smashed five sixes against Bangladesh in the third and final One-day International (ODI) at Warner Park in St Kitts to become the most number of six hitter in International cricket. He equalled Pakistan's batsman Shahid Afridi's feat of identical number of sixes. Both the batsmen now have 476 sixes against their name.

28th July, Current Affairs:

• World Hepatitis Day observed today.
• The longest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century occurs on July 27th night.
• 33 employees of an agricultural university in Maharashtra were killed when a bus they were travelling in skidded off a mountain stretch on the Mumbai-Goa highway.
• Mahesh Kumar Malani of the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) has become the first Hindu candidate to win a National Assembly seat in Pakistan.

26th July, Current Affairs:

• Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf or PTI has emerged as the single largest party in Pakistan's General Election.
• Two Indians Bharat Vatwani and Sonam Wangchuk wins this year's Ramon Magsaysay Award. Youk Chhang from Cambodia, Maria de Lourdes Martins Cruz from East Timor, Howard Dee from the Philippines and Vo Thi Hoang Yen rom Vietnam are other winners of the award. Ramon Magsaysay Award is considering as the Asian version of the Nobel Prize.
• The West Bengal Assembly passed a resolution to rename the State as ‘Bangla’ in three languages — Bengali, English and Hindi.

25th July, Current Affairs:

• NASA scientists have detected a salt-laden lake under ice on the southern polar plain of Mars. It is the first stable body of liquid water found on Mars and is about 20 km wide.
• Voting for Pakistan General Election held today. This election is the second civilian transfer of power in Pakistan's history. In 2013, for the first time, a civilian government completed its five-year term in Pakistan.
• The 10th BRICS Summit started from today in Johannesburg.

23rd July, Current Affairs:

• A high level committee is formed which will be chaired by union home secretary Rajiv Gaub has been set up to look into the situations arising out of mob violence and lynching. The committee will submit its report in four weeks.
• Iran becomes the second-biggest oil supplier to Indian state refiners replacing Saudi Arabia.

20th July, Current Affairs:

• Pakistan openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq broke the all-time opening partnership in one-day international (ODI) history. They formed a 304-run opening stand during the fourth ODI against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

19th July, Current Affairs:

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said it would issue new Rs. 100 banknotes from next month. The new banknote of Rs. 100 denomination will be of the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series.
• The Lok Sabha passes Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill and the Rajya Sabha passes Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill.

18th July, Current Affairs:

• Monsoon Session of the Parliament begins from today.
• The Rajya Sabha passed two Bills — The Requisitioning and Acquisition of Immovable Property (Amendment) Bill, 2017 and State Banks (Repeal and Amendment) Bill, 2017, while the Lok Sabha passed The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Second Amendment) Bill, 2017.
• India's javelin-thrower Neeraj Chopra clinched the gold at the Sotteville Athletics meet in France. Neeraj threw 85.17 metres to bag the gold medal.

17th July, Current Affairs:

• India ranks 109th in the list of 124 countries based on the 4G speed country wise. The average speed in India is found 6.1Mbps, which is much less than the global average of about 17Mbps.
• Virat Kohli became the fastest to 3000 one-day international runs as captain, taking just 49 innings to get to the mark.

15th July, Current Affairs:

• World Youth Skills Day observed today.
• France wins the FIFA World Cup 2018 final by 4-2 after defeating Croatia in Moscow.
• Kylian Mbappe of France wins the Young Player of the Tournament. Luka Modric of Croatia wins the Golden Ball award. Harry Kane of England who scored six goals wins the Golden Boot award and Thibaut Courtois of Belgium wins the Golden Glove award.
• Indian shuttler PV Sindhu defeated in the final by Ozomi Okuhara of Japan by 15-21, 18-21 in the Thailand Open at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok.
• Novak Djokovic beats Kevin Anderson 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) to win his 4th Wimbledon Men's single title.

14th July, Current Affairs:

• Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam arrested in Lahore after returning from London in corruption case.
• Belgium occupied the 3rd spot after defeating England by 2-0 in the FIFA World Cup.
• Germany's Angelique Kerber defeated Serena Williams's by 6-3, 6-3 win in the final of Women's Single in Wimbledon 2018.
• MS Dhoni becomes the fourth Indian to scores 10000 runs in International ODI. Dhoni also became the first Indian wicketkeeper to take 300 catches in one-day internationals. Dhoni achieved both the landmark during the second ODI of the three-match series at the Lord. It is his 320th ODI.

13th July, Current Affairs:

• India's Hima Das created history by winning the gold medal in the women's 400 metre event at the IAAF World U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland. She became the first Indian athlete to win gold in a world championship across all age groups. Hima registered a time of 51.46 seconds in the final.
• Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has beaten Alibaba founder Jack Ma to become the richest man in Asia.

12th July, Current Affairs:

• The Union Government has approved the principle of Net neutrality which means that telecom and Internet service providers must treat all data on the Internet equally, and not discriminate or charge differently by user, content, site, platform, or application.

11th July, Current Affairs:

• According to updated World Bank figures for 2017, India has become the world's sixth-biggest economy. India's GDP amounted to $2.597 trillion at the end of last year.

10th July, Current Affairs:

• Andhra Pradesh has topped a list of states in the new Ease of Doing Business rankings, released by the government today. Telangana and Haryana are at the second and third positions, respectively.

9th July, Current Affairs:

• The world's biggest mobile factory launched in Noida near Delhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae. The new Samsung factory will have the capacity to fabricate 120 million smartphones per year.
• The Indian Supreme Court rejected the pleas to review the capital sentences of three assailants in the Nirbhaya Case of 2012.

• India’s premier gymnast Dipa Karmakar clinched the gold medal in the vault event of FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup at Mersin, Turkey.
• England, France, Croatia and Belgium reach the Semi Final of FIFA World Cup 2018.

• Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been sentenced to 10 years in jail for corruption, while his daughter Maryam Sharif has been given seven years.

5th July, Current Affairs:

• The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully tested a Crew Escape System (CES) which is a critical technology for human spaceflight, will help in ensuring the astronauts are safely rescued in case of an emergency.

• The longest total lunar eclipse of this century would be visible from all parts of the country on July 27.
• Australia captain Aaron Finch recorded for the highest individual score in T20 international cricket. He scores 172 off just 76 deliveries during the third T20I match against Zimbabwe in the tri-series at the Harare Sports Club.
• Australia also register the first-ever 200-run partnership in T20 Cricket. Aron Finch and D'Arcy Short makes 223-run opening stand during the match.

• National Doctors' Day is celebrated in the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
• Forty-eight passengers were killed and 12 others were injured after their bus fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand's Paudi Garhwal district.
• Malaysian shuttler Lee Chong Wei beat Japanese Kento Momota by 21-17, 23-21 to win the Malaysia Open title for a historic twelfth time. In the women's singles final, top seed Tai Tzu Ying from Taiwan defeat China's He Bingjiao by 22-20, 21-11.
• Australia clinched their 15th Champions Trophy title after defeating India by 3-1 in shootout in the FINAL of Champions Trophy hockey in Breda, the Netherlands.
