• All 41 trapped workers inside the
Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi have been evacuated after 17 days in a mammoth
operation that has made international headlines.
• In Telangana, polling
is underway peacefully so far across the state. Over 51 percent of 3 crore
26 lakh electors utilized their franchise till 3 PM across the state.

Today is the last day of India's G20 presidency. Brazil will be leading the
G20 presidency for the next one year from tomorrow.
• Henry Kissinger,
former United States Secretary of State and Nobel Peace Prize winner, died
aged 100 yesterday at his home in Connecticut.

• Ghol fish was declared the state

• Nicaragua’s Sheynnis Palacios was
crowned Miss Universe 2023 at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador,
El Salvador.
• Australia lifted the ICC Men’s Cricket world cup defeating
India by six wickets in the final at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
• Virat Kohli was awarded with the "player of the tournament" title for his
exemplary performance. He scored a total of 765 runs in 11 innings.
15th November, Current Affairs:
• Virat Kohli surpassed legendary
India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the international batter with the
highest number of centuries in ODI cricket. Virat Kohli slammed his 50th ODI
ton against New Zealand in the on going World Cup semi final. He also became
the batter with most runs in a single edition of the Cricket World Cup. He
scores 674 till now in this World cup.
• Subrata Roy, the founder of
Sahara India Pariwar, passed away on November 14 after battling prolonged
illnesses. He was 75 when he breathed his last.
• At least 37 people died
and several injured after a bus fell into a deep gorge in Jammu and
Kashmir's Doda district.

• Festival of lights Diwali is being
celebrated across the country with traditional fervour and gaiety today.
• Public Service Broadcasting Day is being observed today.
• The
International Cricket Council (ICC) Board has suspended Sri Lanka Cricket’s
membership of the ICC with immediate effect.
• With this 160-run victory
over the Netherlands, India made history at the 2023 World Cup by becoming
the first team to go undefeated in the round-robin format, winning all nine
games. Before the Indian team, no side had ever won nine consecutive ODI
World Cup matches.

• Chhattisgarh has recorded a voter
turnout of 70.87% amid an IED blast in Sukma district and an incident of
exchange of fire between Maoists and security forces in Kanker district in
the first phase of Assembly elections. The polls for the 40-member Mizoram
Assembly also commenced today.
• Senior bureaucrat Heeralal Samariya was
sworn in as the chief of the Central Information Commission (CIC) by
President Droupadi Murmu.
• In Hockey, the Indian women’s team dethroned
Japan to crown themselves Asian Champions Trophy winners. India defeated
Japan 4-0 in the championship game to win the Women's Asian Hockey Champions
Trophy 2023.

• Delhi's air quality index remained
above 400, a sign of massive air pollution, in most of the areas. Primary

pollution.
• Virat Kohli has scored his 49th one-day international (ODI)
hundred to equal Sachin Tendulkar’s world record. Kohli completed the feat
in the ICC Cricket World Cup match against South Africa in Kolkata on
Sunday.

• At least 128 people were killed in a
magnitude 6.4 earthquake that struck a remote region of Nepal late Friday.
According to Nepal authorities, over 140 people have been injured and the
death count is expected to rise.
• The Philippines has announced to exit
from China’s Belt and Road Initiatives.
