• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the Dhola-Sadiya bridge in
Assam. The bridge is the longest bridge in India with 9.15 Km. It is built
over the river Lohit, a tributary of Brahmaputra river. The bridge is named
after noted Assamese singer and writer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.

Director General of Police in Punjab, KPS Gill died at the age of 82 in
