• The 3rd Test match between Australia and New Zealand starts in Adelaide which is the first Test match played in Day-night format in 138 years of its history.
• Shahid Afridi became the highest wicket-taker in T20 Internationals with 86 wickets in 86 matches after taking 3 wickets in the 2nd T20 match against England.
• R Ashwin becomes the leading wicket taker in Test matches this year with 55 wickets eight matches.

• Australian paceman Mitchell Starc becomes the fastest and only bowler to bowled at more than 160 kilometres per hour in Test match. He bolwed 160.4 kilometres per hour (99.7 mph) in the second Test against New Zealand at the WACA Ground in Perth.
